How Buyers Shop & Bid (eMAll, Quick Quote, VBO)
eMall - this tool issues by Buyers to create Requisitions and Orders. The Buyers ‘shop’ Vendor catalogs or punchout websites for goods and/or services they need. Click here to see a video of the Buyer shopping experience.
· Catalogs: all Vendors are allowed to provide a catalog of the goods/services they sell… for Free. It is a basic excel spread sheet file listing what you sell and the prices you offer. For services the catalog can simply be a list with a ‘call for quote’ comment.
· PunchOut: a live link to a Vendor ‘s shopping website that will return Buyer selections back to eVA for internal Approvals.
Quick Quote - this tool is used by Buyers to obtain quotes for small dollar purchases (typically over $5k - $100k). Each Quick Quote request is published/posted on the eVA public website. Vendors whose registration has matching commodity codes and service areas are notified automatically about these opportunities via email or fax.
Sealed Solicitations - for purchases typically over $100k, this tool is used by Buyers to publish/post solicitations and their associated documents on the eVA public website. Vendors whose registration has matching commodity codes are notified automatically about these opportunities via email or fax.
