  5  Mixed Content Message
When you login to eVA, Internet Explorer will always prompt you with the below dialog box.

NOTE: You should always click No if you are using IE 8.
The reason for the warning is that you’re on an SSL-secured (https protocol) page that is attempting to load non-SS (http protocol) content. If you want to display mixed content in IE 8 you should click "No". Security Warning Dialog Box

    Q. Is there away to turn this feature off in IE 8?
A. Yes! but keep in mind that your organization may block or reset this option.

Q. What if I use IE 7
A.
IE 7 and earlier versions  asked the user "Do you want to display the secure and non secure content?" You click "Yes" If you want to display mixed content. This change creates confusion so remember if you use IE8 select No and if you use IE7 or below click Yes.
You can turn of this feature in previous versions of IE as well. Just follow the directions below.

Internet Explorer Browser recommendations & tips
If you are having a problem using eVA, you may need to change one or more of your browser settings.

• Note that your IT department might automatically reset your browser settings back to a certain standard.

• Changing your browser settings may make your computer behave differently on other websites.

• For example, Clearing Saved Passwords or removing AutoComplete means the system will no longer fill
in your user name and password for you.
AutoComplete and Saved Passwords
If you are using this feature, you may encounter problems when changing or requesting a password reset in eVA. Since this feature is storing and remembering your password you will need to clear the old stored password. To learn how to turn this feature off and to clear saved passwords click here.
AOL
It is okay to use AOL to connect to the Internet, but the AOL browser will not work with eVA. The AOL browser looks like Internet Explorer. The solution is to stay connected through AOL, but to close the AOL browser and go to the Start button and Launch Internet Explorer.

If you are using any add-ons like the Google toolbar, be sure that it is not blocking pop-ups

To disable the Google Pop-up blocker

If your Toolbar has a wrench icon, follow these steps:
Click the wrench icon on your Google Toolbar.

1.    Click the Tools tab in the 'Toolbar Options' window.

2.    Deselect the 'Pop-up blocker' checkbox.

3.    Click the Save button.

Also, Google Pop-ups must be allowed each time you launch your browser while using eVA.
